The Authority of Persons with Disabilities has launched its new identity, inaugurating a new phase of its institutional presence. The identity reflects its role as the national umbrella for efforts addressing the affairs of persons with disabilities in the Kingdom and its leadership in driving transformation in the disability sector, while strengthening integration and partnership among the various sectors and entities within the disability ecosystem. The visual elements of the new identity demonstrate an evolution in the Authority’s institutional presence. Their components were designed to express the Authority’s mission, values, and the nature of its role in the field of disability. Its emblem draws its abstract symbolism from the shape of a canopy seen from above, signifying the bringing together of diverse efforts and pathways under an integrated framework. Its elements, colors, and details convey meanings of integration, inclusiveness, interconnectedness, and empowerment, and reflect the Authority’s orientation toward unifying efforts and enhancing role complementarity across the disability ecosystem. The launch of the new identity is not merely a refresh of the visual identity; it reflects an advanced institutional stage that translates the Authority’s direction toward strengthening roles, unifying efforts, building more effective partnerships, and supporting initiatives that contribute to developing the disability system and achieving sustainable impact — in line with the campaign slogan “Together We Create Change and Make an Impact.” The new identity aligns with the Authority’s vision: “An inclusive, enabling society with equal opportunities for persons with disabilities,” and with its mission to organize and enhance national efforts concerned with persons with disabilities through policy and strategy development, awareness-raising, and building effective partnerships. The identity is also founded on the Authority’s values of equality, inclusion, cooperation, excellence, and commitment — values that underpin its work to promote inclusion and equal opportunities, elevate practices, and consolidate the position of persons with disabilities across all fields. The new identity embodies the Authority’s strategic direction in the areas of policy and compliance, awareness and empowerment, data, integration of the disability ecosystem, and institutional excellence — supporting policy and practice development, strengthening governance, and improving institutional performance. The identity was unveiled during the ceremony the Authority organized to honor the winners of the “Purple Saturday” Award, attended by a number of Their Excellencies and distinguished officials and heads of government entities, with participation from representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council member states. The Authority honored the award winners across its four tracks: Best Commercial Offering — Hemm App; Panda Retail Company; Furn Al-Dai’ah Company; Best Event/Match — Al-Jouf University; Huraymla Governorate; Alinma Bank. Best Initiative from the Nonprofit Sector — Rooh Association for Persons with Disabilities (Umluj Governorate); Al-Aflaj Association for People with Special Needs; Naseer Association for Empowering Persons with Disabilities in Buraidah. Best Participation by Persons with Disabilities — Abdulaziz Al-Shafie, Muhannad Al-Anini, Muhammad Al-Faidi, Muhammad Bashmak — in addition to honoring a number of entities and partners from various sectors, in an occasion that embodies the integration of national and regional efforts to support the causes of persons with disabilities and to promote inclusion and empowerment. These efforts are in harmony with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals to build an inclusive and enabling society, promote participation, integration, and equal opportunities across sectors, and thereby contribute to improving quality of life and supporting the effective participation of persons with disabilities in society.
