The Authority for Persons with Disability visited the Al-Ha’il Region, represented by the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Hisham bin Muhammad Al-Haydhari, and the Deputy President for Communication and Empowerment, Engineer Firas bin Khalid Al-Dukayir, along with a number of the Authority’s staff members. The visit aimed to review the current state of the services provided to persons with disabilities, assess the level of those services, and strengthen integration with relevant stakeholders. As part of the visit, the Authority for Persons with Disability signed a cooperation memorandum with the Al-Ha’il Region Development Authority, in the presence of the current Emir of the Al-Ha’il Region, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Chairman of the Board of the Authority for Persons with Disability, Engineer Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi. The memorandum seeks to enhance cooperation and integration between the two parties, support the empowerment of persons with disabilities, and develop related services and initiatives. The visit included the Al-Ha’il Club for Persons with Disability, where the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer and staff reviewed the programs and activities offered. The delegation also visited the Al-Ha’il Children with Disability Association, reviewing its rehabilitation and educational services and programs, and discussing ways to improve the services provided to children and families. The visit also included Ha’il Regional Airport, where the facilities and services provided to persons with disabilities were reviewed, along with the airport’s readiness in terms of accessibility. Discussions also covered a number of topics related to the experience of persons with disabilities. The visit comes as an extension of the Authority’s efforts, as the comprehensive umbrella for all matters related to persons with disabilities—working to raise the quality of the services provided to them and to strengthen integration with various sectors—thereby contributing to reaching a comprehensive and integrated society in which persons with disabilities enjoy equal opportunities across all fields.
