The Authority for Persons with Disability and the National Institute for Vocational and Educational Development signed a cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing coordination between the two parties and developing relevant areas of cooperation to empower persons with disabilities, build capacities, exchange expertise, and develop joint programs and initiatives. The Authority was represented in signing the agreement by its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Hisham bin Muhammad Al-Haydhari, while the Institute was represented by its Director General, Mr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Awdah. The agreement includes a number of cooperation areas, most notably studying and identifying professional development needs, developing and implementing training and rehabilitation programs, exchanging expertise and best practices, preparing national trainers and building the capacities of experts, conducting studies and research and awareness initiatives, as well as organizing workshops and specialized conferences and developing tools and methodologies to measure the impact of programs and initiatives. The agreement also covers exchanging expertise and knowledge in areas related to empowering persons with disabilities, strengthening a culture of inclusion, developing professional practices, and supporting joint initiatives—contributing to improving the quality of programs and practices and achieving the intended impact. The agreement emphasizes the importance of joint media and awareness cooperation in highlighting initiatives, programs, and events resulting from them, coordinating efforts and communication messages, participating in awareness programs, and leveraging the official channels and platforms of both parties—thereby enhancing the visibility and impact of these initiatives among the target audience. As the comprehensive umbrella for all matters related to persons with disabilities, the Authority for Persons with Disability works in integration with all sectors to empower persons with disabilities and strengthen their participation. This contributes to achieving inclusion and inclusivity in society and supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in building a comprehensive, integrated society with equal opportunities.
